Desislava Dobreva is an award winning singer and composer, known throughout Bulgaria where she has anchored her own television show, in addition to participating in the highest-rated program on Bulgarian TV – Slavi's Show. She has performed in front of audiences exceeding 50,000 people, including such high profile events as the Easter
Concert (2003) and the New Years Concerts (2002 and 2003) at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia. As a lead singer of Ku-Ku Band and Slavi's Show during for four years, her performances have reached millions of people, and are showcased in three CDs recorded with: Prima Patriot (2004), Vox Populi (2003) and The New Barbarians (2001).

Folklore Ensemble "Ludo Mlado"

Ludo Mlado is a semi-professional dance troupe based in Boston, MA.
Choreographers of the troupe are Marieta Mircheva and Peter Petrov.
By training dancers and showcasing performances at cultural events,
the troupe endeavors to preserve and spread awareness of
the rich dance traditions of Bulgaria and the Balkan people.

The Harvard Bulgarian Club, founded in 1997, serves as a uniting entity of the Bulgarian students on campus, and as an informational kernel of the Bulgarian student society throughout the U.S. The group seeks to promote greater awareness and understanding of the political, social, and cultural issues regarding Bulgaria in the Harvard community. We have been actively engaged in the society by organizing cultural gatherings to celebrate Bulgarian holidays, inviting speakers on campus,
and collaborating with other cultural and ethnic groups.
